About Dr. Nasir Abimbola Kolade

Nasir Kolade is a Lecturer in Accounting & Finance (Faculty of Business and Law) at the University of Northampton. Nasir’ is the Programme Leader of MSc Corporate Governance and Leadership. He has teaching experience in both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, on courses such as Corporate/Financial Reporting, Management Accounting, Corporate Governance, Strategic Management, and Financial Accounting.

Nasir completed his PhD studies at the University of the West of Scotland (UWS) Business School, Accounting & Finance (focussing on Energy Economics and Finance). During his doctoral studies, he received awards from the OPEC-OFID. He also obtained an MSc in Energy Management from the University of Stirling, and a BSc in Economics from the Ekiti State University (Ekiti State, Nigeria). Furthermore, Nasir became a Chartered Accountant (ACA) in 2005.

Nasir’ is an active researcher and likes to work with both undergraduate/postgraduate students researching diverse energy and petroleum issues, from the macroeconomic impact of oil price volatility to financial/project analysis of natural resources and energy ventures.
