About Dr. Anna Formica

Anna Formica in 1989 received the full-honours degree (110/110 cum laude) in Mathematics from the University of Rome "La Sapienza", in Italy. She won several public competitions about research fellowships and contracts from the Italian National Research Council (Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche – CNR) and, currently, she is a senior researcher at the "Istituto di Analisi dei Sistemi ed Informatica (IASI) – Antonio Ruberti" of the CNR, in Rome, where she manages the “Software and Knowledge-based Systems” (SaKS) group. She took part in several Italian, Bilateral, and European projects, and she is a reviewer of many international journals.

Her current research interests are Semantic Web, Domain Ontologies, Similarity Reasoning, Semantic Relatedness, and Linked-data.
