About Dr. Babarinsa Olayiwola

Babarinsa Olayiwola Isaac (Ph.D.) is a mathematics lecturer at Federal University Lokoja (FULOKOJA) in Nigeria, and concurrently a post-doctoral fellow at Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) in Malaysia. Recently, at National Open University of Nigeria, he is designated to facilitate an online course (Linear Algebra) together with supervision. He was a graduate assistant at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) in 2016, and a part-time mathematics lecturer at Centre for Law and Business: University of London International Programmes in 2011; and at Cromwell Centre for Research in Housing & Urban Development in 2012. He obtained his doctoral degree in (Linear) Algebra from the Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) in 2019; and Postgraduate Diploma in Education (P.G.D.E) from the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) in 2015. He had both B.Sc. degree in mathematics/statistics and M.Sc. degree in mathematics (pure) from the University of Lagos (UNILAG) in 2008 and 2010 respectively.

Finally, he obtained National Diploma in textile technology at Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) in 2005. His conceptual research is in hourglass matrix and its applications in matrix theory and graph theory. Within these research areas he had published 1 edited volume, 6 conference proceedings, and more than 13 refereed journal articles (locally and internationally). He reviews for Journal of Mathematics Research and he is an Editorial Board Member of Applied and Computational Mathematics. He is a member of the Mathematics Association of Nigeria (MAN), Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), Nigerian Mathematical Society (NMS), Institute for Operations Research of Nigeria (INFORN), and Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM). He participated in some volunteer/non-profit activities such as a volunteer lecturer at Lecturers Without Borders, a volunteer teacher at Reaged educational consultancy ltd, an USM's student ambassador at Universiti Sains Malaysia. Being a confident presenter, he was awarded the best presenter at ICOAIMS 2017 conference. He voluntarily makes mathematics videos on his YouTube channel to university students in order to improve and make learning easy.
