About Professor Bekir Karlik

Prof. Dr. Bekir KARLIK received his BS, MS, and PhD degrees from Yildiz Technical University in Istanbul in Turkey respectively. He has worked several universities as a Professor in Turkey and abroad. Currently, he has been working as head of department of electrical engineering and information technology at Metropolitan University of Tirana in Albania. His research interests include machine learning, deep learning, pattern recognition, computer vision, biometric recognition, biomedical signal and image processing, pervasive and soft computing, and intelligent control systems such as e-nose and human arm prosthesis. Prof. Karlik has published over 200 papers in many well-known international journals, and proceedings of refereed conference since 1991, and many among these papers have been indexed by EI, Scopus, and SCI. He was awarded two patents. He has presented Keynote/Plenary Lecturer at national and international computing conferences held in different countries. He has been editor-in-chief of IJAE, the editorial member of 6 journals, and reviewers of 50 different international journals.
