About Assistant Professor Tossapon Boongoen
Tossapon Boongoen is a Lecturer with the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Royal Thai Air Force Academy, Thailand. Prior to this appointment, he obtained a BSc in Computer Science and a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from Cranfield University, UK. He also continued his Postdoctoral Research funded by UK EPSRC at Aberystwyth UniversityHis research interests include data mining, pattern recognition, natural language processing and medical data analysis. Asst. Prof. Boongoen’s current research focuses on link analysis and fuzzy aggregation, and their applications to effective intelligence modeling and reasoning for anti-terrorism. His publications have appeared in premier academic journals such as IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man and Cybernetics (Part B), IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering and Bioinformatics.
He is an Associate Editor of Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology (AMB) Express, which is a newly launched journal of SpringerOpen. Also, he has been a reviewer of journal publication for IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man and Cybernetics (Part B), IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Based Systems.
